Benefits of Smart Cards
This technology implants data into a plastic card. This looks similar to a credit card. But, this is however different from a credit card. The difference is that a credit card contains magnetic strip on one side of a card and the smart card contains a micro chip that stores data and processes it. It is more of a small computer. There is another very big difference these two cards. It is that these cards can be a single card to manage all of the accounts of a user. It can as well contain personal details along with the account details.
Smart cards are very popular in Europe in the health domain. Since this card holds all the data regarding the health factors of a person one need not fill out forms. They are much more secure than a credit card. This is password protected and hence storage of a huge data is possible.
